To tell the story of the Bollywood Bistro you have to meet owners,Harish & Neena Naidu. They opened the doors in 2005, though the vision had been percolating through decades and across several continents.Their shared passion for food began in Bombay, India. Neena & Harish's understanding of traditional Indian cuisine & Western fare had made their home a popular destination for dinner parties. This warm reputation and sharing atmosphere planted the seed that would later grow into the sophisticated and innovative Bollywood Bistro.

With Harish's business background and Neena's visual arts flare the couple bring sumptuous vibrance to every dish. After graduating in Hotel and Food Administration, Harish worked briefly in the luxury tourist hotel industry. Neena completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial art and continues to express her passion for colour in the Bistro's rich decor.

Chef Laxman Kafle's passion and positive energy infuses the menu withan indelible flavor that makes The Bollywood a favourite among Guelph locals. He has managed to adapt to a wide repertoire of Neena's own family recipes. His travels have taken him from his homeland of Nepal to Poland, Vancouver and Toronto. He started his career at Moti Mahalin Old Delhi, the world famous restaurant that originated, "ButterChicken".

The slow dining vision of Harish and Neena perfectly blends traditional handed-down Indian recipes from across the provinces with contemporary presentation to create a unique dining experience in a beautiful surrounding.
